Class Descriptions

SLOW FLOW:  This calming, mobility-focused class blends slow, mindful movement with deep stretch holds to release tension, enhance flexibility, and support optimal movement patterns. This class is designed to help you move with greater ease, balance, and awareness—on and off the mat. Suitable for all levels, especially those seeking a nurturing and functional approach to movement.

MIXED-LEVEL FLOW: A mixed-level vinyasa class that blends breath and movement at a mindful, steady pace. Designed to build strength, flexibility, and focus, this practice offers accessible options for all levels, encouraging you to move with intention, ease, and confidence. Suitable for all levels.

POWER FLOW: A faster-paced practice that links movement with breath while exploring a variety of postures to develop core and muscular strength, increase flexibility, and build stamina. Through a combination of dynamic movements and longer holds, power yoga is designed to elevate your heart rate, strengthen your muscles, enhance endurance, and improve both flexibility and balance. Prior yoga experience is recommended.

HEATED FLOW: A faster-paced vinyasa practice in a heated room (85 –90 degrees) that links movement with breath while building strength, stamina, and flexibility. Dynamic sequences and longer holds elevate your heart rate, enhance endurance, and improve balance, while the heat deepens flexibility and supports detoxification. Prior yoga experience is recommended.

STRENGTH & STABILITY:  A well-rounded class blending seated and standing postures to build balance, mobility, and overall strength. Designed to enhance stability and increase range of motion, this class also supports greater flexibility as a natural byproduct of developing strength and control. Accessible for all levels with the ability to transition from floor to standing with ease.

DEEP STRETCH:  Enjoy the rejuvenating effects of a deep stretch practice as you slow down and shift from noise to silence. This practice emphasizes longer-held postures to increase length and flexibility while accessing the deeper supportive tissues of the body with minimal muscular effort. A strong focus on breath will help cultivate mental stillness and presence, allowing you to hold and explore each shape with mindful awareness. Suitable for all levels.

YOGA BLEND:

A blend of slow flow and deep stretch. This class is a perfect combination of movement and stillness. The slow flow portion focuses on gentle, mindful sequences that help build strength, improve balance, and encourage a meditative state. The deep stretch section targets connective tissues to release tension and enhance flexibility. All levels welcome.

YIN:

A slower-paced, more contemplative practice. Yin targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues: ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. All levels welcome.

MAT PILATES: FOUNDATIONAL Foundational mat Pilates is a mat-based workout designed to build core strength, improve flexibility, enhance balance, and increase overall body awareness. This class focuses on the classical foundations of pilates through controlled, body-weight movements while incorporating some contemporary functional movement to lengthen and strengthen muscles. Traditional mat Pilates equipment, including the magic circle and Pilates ball is utilized to help sculpt the body while increasing strength and range of motion for all experience levels.

 

MAT PILATES: MIXED-LEVEL: Mixed-level mat Pilates builds on the foundation of our mat-based practice, offering layered progressions to support a range of experience levels. This class focuses on core strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness through controlled, intentional movement. In addition to traditional Pilates props like the magic circle and Pilates ball, light 3 lb hand weights and 1.5 lb ankle or wrist weights are incorporated to gently increase resistance and deepen muscular engagement. While more strength-focused than our foundational mat class, this offering maintains a lower, slower intensity than power Pilates, emphasizing form, control, and steady progression.

HEATED (H) CLASSES: Our heated classes offer a heated room (80–85 degrees) to deepen flexibility, increase intensity, and support detoxification. The (H) before the class type to indicates that the infrared, radiant heaters are on for the duration of the class. Prior experience is recommended for any heated offering.

GENTLY- HEATED (GH) CLASSES:  Our gently heated-yoga classes are held in a mildly-warm room (75–80 degrees) to support mobility, ease muscle tension, and create a comfortable, welcoming environment. These classes offer a subtle warmth without the intensity of our fully heated offerings. The (GH) before the class type indicates that the room will hold residual heat from the previous class on our schedule. All experience levels are welcome.
